Description and History Similar to the M-299, the GN XM-3002 is a six-wheeled variable terrain vehicle designed to operate in low-gravity conditions on terrestrial bodies with little or no atmosphere. The XM-3002 has room for four passengers (including driver) and features small thruster nozzles along the sides of the vehicle (including two top mounted omni-directional nozzle bulbs) for low gravity maneuvering. Like most utility vehicles, the XM-3002 has a communications system that can be linked with the internal units in personal space suits. First Lieutenant Misa Hayase operated an XM-3002 during the SDF-1 Macross landing on the planet Mars, in which she drove from the Macross to Mars Base Salla. Description and History The SF-3A Lancer II is a general-purpose space fighter designed for service aboard the space carrier ships of the U.N. Spacy. There were 78 manned Lancer II fighters stationed aboard the ARMD-01 Space Carrier when Space War I began in February 2009 and they were the first combat craft to participate in the war. Armament: 4 x self-propelled torpedoes (mounted on left/right pylons). Description and History A twin engine medium lift helicopter, the Siokorvsky Sea Sergeant is a general use craft for the U.N. Navy. Armed with four air dropped self-propelled torpedoes, the Sea Sergeant can be used to attack targets above or below the water. The Sea Sergeant is also used as a navy reconnaissance craft and a search and rescue vehicle. When Space War I began, the Zentradi landed numerous mecha forces in the sea surrounding Souht Ataria Island on Earth. Quick thinking First Lieutenant Misa Hayase ordered patrol helicopters dispatched from the Prometheus to scout the area. Patrol helicopter PHP-202 reported contact but was unfortunately shot down. Armament: none. Description and History Large-scale construction in space was just one of many new endeavors brought about by the development of OverTechnology. To assist in zero-g construction operations, the U.N. Spacy contracted equipment manufacturer Glamor to build a multi-purpose craft for use in space. The Glamor Spider Bug was developed to meet the needs of construction in space and to assist with any other general-purpose functions. With four large manipulator arms, a heavy-duty grasping claw and a large fuel tank, this one-man space craft was soon employed in hundreds of operations all throughout the Sol system. The U.N. Spacy often kept these units aboard many of their capital spaceships and a Glamor Spider Bug was seen inside the hangar of ARMD-01 when Space War I began in 2009. Armament: none. Optional Equipment: booster rocket. Description and History The Star Goose is a small and fast military transport capable of operating in the air or in space. Though unarmed, the Star Goose is very maneuverable and its armored hull is quite robust. Many a time a SC-27 has come under heavy enemy fire and remained flight-worthy, doggedly carrying passengers wherever needed. In times of combat, the craft features interior saftey seats that enclose the passenger in a fully sealed unit to protect against hull breaches. When travelling from the surface to orbit, the Star Goose makes use of a booster rocket to escape the atmosphere. NOTE: In episode 24, the same SC-27 Star Goose craft appears in two distinctly different hull colors all during a single flight: white with a mauve underside and then as a single-tone pale olive. The craft starts out white in about half a dozen shots, changes briefly to olive for the launch and battle sequences, then appears white again during atmospheric re-entry, landing and disembarking. Macross Chronicle #37-05 displays the olive hull color as official (with a screen capture showing the dark version launching). Color errors are not uncommon in animation but since episode 24 established the Star Goose as white in most early shots and then reverts back to white again later, both Star Goose hull colors are included here to accommodate different fan's color associations with the craft. The M-299 also includes communication equipment and hands-free two-way speakers. Captain Roy Focker often drove a standard green M-299 during his post aboard the SDF-1 while First Lieutenant Misa Hayase was seen driving a blue M-299 at the U.N.G. forces Alaska Base. Description and History With versatile vertical take-off and landing capability the VC-33 Mom's Kitchen is the transport of choice for ferrying high ranking military personnel. The VC-33 is a small craft designed as a light passenger carrier featuring spacious interiors. It can travel at very high speeds comfortably and has a long operational range. A VC-33 transported Misa Hayase and Captain Bruno Global to the UN Forces Headquarters in Alaska, not long before Space War One came to a close. Armament: none. Description and History Also known as the "Fish Truck", this large cargo vehicle was utilized to transport perishable sea food products. This large truck has it's own mechanical refrigeration systems and was active all over South Ataria Island in 2009. When then civilian pilot Hikaru Ichijo crashed into the urban centers of the island in a VF-1D Valkyrie, his unskilled attempts to move the battroid mode had the mecha fallen into the side of the Chinese restaurant where Lynn Minmay worked. Two large refrigerator trucks, stopped by the battroid obstructing the road, made use of their towing cables in an attempt to upright the fallen mecha. Unfortunately, Ichijo's VF-1D simply fell onto the other side of the street. The two drivers, having helped to cause more damage to the surrounding buildings, hastily departed.
