the old DID & Dragon still good, but they use thicker & more rubber material, Medicom & HT use very thin but like real leather PU leather so less durable.
Mold like Black colors. use alcohol not enough unless you wipe 100%.
buy Moth balls, put it together with the toy inside a closed tupperware (not for food), leave it few days, should kill all the mold. also put moth balls at where you display them, also dehumidifier boxes assuming you put inside cabinet.
PS. Alcohol is bad for rubber & leather & PU leather, it dries out the material.
real leather wax is thin layer, just help keep leather fresh & shinny.
PU leather wax is similar to rubber protector, has thicker layer & also shinny.
Car interior wax, i think can use on both real leather & PU leather, because many cars use Real Leather & Also PU Leather.
but tell you truth, got water or no water, only few years extra only. sooner or later they will still flake. because they are not like car PU seats leather.
