I think most of the parts are plastic due to the wing is heavy and if they use more metal, it will be hard to balance. I don't know if this is really why, this is just my thought.
The poseidon will have a lot more metal than Seiya and that should make the whole figure more valuable and more expensive as well.
i think you can use tempered glass for safety issue

What is tempered glass? You can tell me in Chinese as it may be easier to explain to furniture company in Chinese. I checked with 2 companies tda and they both can't make the display coffee table in Acrylic material like those Kartell chair. I am putting the tumbler on top of the TV cabinet in my room with no cover right now and this will be it's temp home for now and I will have to watch the dust regularly.
I have successfully installed all the parts into the mobile finally, it is certainly not easy as I am really poor at doing anything by hand and after reading all the comments about the parts such as spolier is easy to break, I was very worry but at the end I was able to get it done without breaking anything. What a relieve!!!!

I think the 89 Batmobile will be easier to display as the width is narrower but you are talking about having both 89 and the TDK mobiles, good luck in finding a nice way to display them. It will definitely be a challenge!!!!
