Because we didn't know how to cherish things when we were small.  When the toys got "old", we tend to pursuit newer toys... :42:

BTW, "GO DICK ON" was one of my favorite toys back then!  It was so expensive!  I remember Watson's was selling just the biggest one (blue one) for $128!

(And I don't know why they were sold (and packaged) separately but I clearly remember that because I lured my mom to get it for me but she didn't...:63: )
