其實係, F-14搭載能力比起現役係差好多, 同埋致命o既係先天設計有問題, 令到維修成本高所以先至停產, 咁樣被迫退役, :42:

As the global political atmosphere has changed, US Navy do not need designated Fighters to protect carriers.  Instead, multi-function warplanes (like F/A-18E/F) are more suitable for modern coastal wars.  (Moreover, building multi-purpose warplanes could easily get the budget from politicians with less criticisms.)  As Big Big rightly pointed out, when comparing with the lower development cost of F/A-18E/F (modified from F/A-18C/D), the high maintenance cost (for a warplane over 20 years old) of F-14 is one of the main reasons of its retirement.:64:

Tell those stupid guys to see Topgun, just kidding.

Lately I bought several 1/200 F-14 (A/B/D) which are of very detailed with insigna painted, very good when displayed with those 1/200 VFs

It's really great idea to put 1/200 F-14 with VF-25 side by side!:shiny:   Moreover, there are plenty of choices wor....  Let me think think it sin....
