(星島日報報道)年僅九歲本港姓沈(Boedihardjo March Tian)的數學神童,或會入讀本港浸會大學。他父親坦言,選校時並非只重學校的名氣,而會按校方給予兒子的支援作考慮條件。
(Boedihardjo March Tian)為印尼裔華僑,早前在英國普通教育文憑試(GCE)數學科考獲A*成績,希望報讀牛津大學,但據悉,因該校改變政策,拒讓年幼學生入學,故或會返港入讀浸會大學。
沈童的父親Tony Boedihardjo向傳媒表示,為兒子選校時,會因應該校給予兒子的支援而作決定,並指大學的名氣並非首要考慮因素。雖然沈童僅得九歲,但其沈父相信兒子有能力適應大學校園生活,並可應付大學課程。
沈父又透露,若兩年前能選擇的話,希望兒子與同齡的學生般,能在港升讀小二,接受正規的教育。他指,沈童在數學方面特別有天分,是一名資優兒童,但他從不敢帶他去測試智商,因害怕他知道擁有較常人高的智商時,會變得懶散。
