EXCLUSIVE: Chronicle Collectibles to debut Dr Alan Grant & Owen Grady 1:6th Scale Figures!
Today we had the pleasure of hosting a special interview edition of our Podcast with Paul Francis, co-founder and Art Director of Chronicle Collectibles.
Chronicle Collectibles is a prop replica and high quality collectibles company based out of Dallas Texas that deals with many official licenses such as Terminator, Stargate, Ghostbusters, and they have recently acquired the license to our beloved franchise, Jurassic Park.
Jurassic fans have been asking for official high-quality collectibles for years, and had a taste in 2008 when Sideshow put out a Tyrannosaurus Rex statue. However, it's been fairly quiet since then.
That changed early 2015 when Chronicle announced they were the license holder for all four Jurassic Park films and had a exciting range of upcoming products. Chronicle has recently opened up pre-orders for their 1:5th Male Tyrannosaurus Rex head bust, which is made from the original Stan Winston Studios mold.
We had the opportunity to interview Paul and learn more about Chronicle and how they create a piece from concept to approval. After speaking with Paul, it's very obvious how much dedication and time has gone into each and everyone one of their products. He speaks with such a love for what he does and is as much of a Jurassic fan as us - which bodes incredibly well for those who are excited for more Chronicle products!
Now here's the exclusive: Chronicle Collectibles will be releasing a 1:6th scale figure line, starting with Dr Alan Grant and Owen Grady this year!
You read that right. We will finally be seeing actual human figures from the Jurassic franchise, highly detailed, articulated and accurate display figures. And here's the first look:
If you're a listener of our podcast then you'll have heard us time and time again discussing the lack of human figures for Jurassic World especially, and the lack of collectibles all round. Well, Chronicle are about to change all of that and we couldn't be more excited.

With a wealth of new products coming and a lot of ideas in the pipeline, Paul urges us all to contribute and share your opinions on the Statue Forum where Chronicle have a dedicated board. Some collectors assisted and shared their opinions on Chronicle's first Jurassic item (the Rex bust from TLW) which helped shape the product correctly for release.
