Also sorry that my collection doesn't have any VF-1J, so unable to comment. :P

But I may suggest you to think about the VF-4G as well; after all, this may be Yamato's final product...  And I actually saw one selling at #^*) at "what time is it now" before I went pick up the Unicorn Gundam earlier tonight (yup, that price is like one "gold cow" more than my purchase price)!

I still don't have time to un-wrap my Unicorn Gundam but wish that its QC would be much better than my VF-171, haha!

The VF-4G is a very nice toy.  It is also very expensive.
