Medicom pricing has always been high. In 2001 when they make the first DX Rider (RAH No. 100), it is already 20000 yen, and they rest has been between 17600 to 19500 yen all the time. See link of product page in Medicom site:

It is only because the YEN exchange rate went up a lot during the past 10 years that makes Medicom more and more expensive for us who lives outside of Japan.....
My way of collecting Medicom nowadays is just wait till I can find a good price, especially on Riders. I have to go business trip to Japan twice a year, and pricing goes up and down but I believe I can just wait and get the good deal. Wait a few years, when the show is out dated, the product will be cheaper.....
By the way, Gokai Red is a good figure. I bought mine for 9800 yen last year.... I wish they would have released the whole team!
