The problem with metal net is that something can drop behinds it, and difficult to take out. You have to think about this.

The metal net won't be covering my entire wall, only the upper portion of the wall, with maybe 1 to 1.5cm between the wall and the net, so dropping something behind it isn;t a problem. I'm more concerned with cost, installation, flexibility, weight capacity.

How much did yours (just the gun display) costs?

I can't really remember exactly, few years ago. The boards are cheap, few hundred, and the hooks, I bought bulks for again couple hundreds, they are absolutely commodity parts, so very common.  The cupboard itself is around 8K, because of upper black glass door and the metallic surface board used. The only thing I need to do is to re-paint the metal board because they only came in white.
