I don't have pics, but its actually pretty easy on mine on the legs. Its the backpack that is super tight, it goes "CLACK!!!" really loud when you get it open, as if you broke some plastic inside. I left it unlock now, so I can easily swing it up or down. But now has a gap on the top of the backpack leaving it unlocked.
About the legs, its not hard. Do one leg at a time. Left hand hold the sides and back of the lower leg (purple). Right hand hold the upper leg (light green). Pull the upper leg forward and down, as if you are trying to pull the knee forward and out, while your left hand keep grabbing the purple lower leg. The knee and the vertical center bar (purple, but diecast) will come out a little. Then pull harder to pass the lock. You will hear a "CLACK!" sound too, like the back pack. Then you can pull it all the way down. Shouldn't be hard. Since its diecast, that part actually won't break easy. So don't worry too much.
I think the backpack is much harder to swing up. Need to detach it from the body to do it when its locked.

While not an ideal mod on the feet, with only added weight on the toes, it still helped on pulling some signature Votoms poses. It can lean pretty good as you can see. The weight of the claw did help on counter balancing in that pose. Imagine when both feet is fully stuffed!

As for the other fixes, I just left the backpack hinge lock unlocked. While it leaves a wide gap on the top of the backpack, it doesn't look bad. In terms of the hand, I did my usual super glue trick to thicken the finger pegs. Now they arepretty secure without being permanantly glued. While some foam tape are added on both sides of the gun handle. Now it even has soft cushy grip for Rabidly's comfort :p LOL. Now its pretty snug.

just wondering, rabidlydog or strikedog will really use their left claws to hold the front grip of the gun in the animation?

Just my opinion, 1/18!No matter look and also convenience for collection!:)
Why don't choose 1/48?It is also a great series!:)

Rabidlydog does. Thats why I posed it purposely like that, because I find it interesting how I saw it holding the gun with its claw in the show (with some animation magic:DD). Strikedog's gun doesn't have a sideway handle, therefore it never held the gun with the claw that way.

Takara 1/18. Well executed, and more fun.
Yamato 1/12 is good when you only want to display something big and detailed, with removable panels that shows inner parts. The proportion is nice, but the whole thing is unpainted and bare plastic, with minimum to none painted decals, while the decals provided are stickers. The worse part is the figure with joints not strong enough to hold the weight, making the figure only somewhat stable on its own, but will not stand well at all when added backpack or holding bigger weapons. So great for display, but not very fun. Unless you are good at modeling and wanted to paint it up and modify it, as the all parts can come apart and make it easy for mod.
Takara while less detailed on inner parts and under panels, is very solid overall with some nice clicking ratchet joints and very fun to play.No worries about the toy falling unlike the Yamato 1/12. Has actual spring loaded arm-punch, as well as some other gimmicks depends on which one you buy. Has some diecast on the legs (claws on Rabidlydog as well). The paint job is great, as long as you are not very picky with imperfections All decals are painted, not stickers. So in my humble opinion, Takara wins hands down.
