:58: indeed, i would rather think that the difference in output quality is solely contributed by better optics (i.e. lens) and image sensor (large area, high signal to noise ratio), which result into higher resolution and greater color depth.
:62: taking pics with same exposure settings (aperture opening, shutter speed and ISO) by these two types of camera won't yield image in comparable quality, that's what i believe in~

the problem is that simple DC has the problem of difficulty in focusing & depth adjustment. It is difficult to take pics in white light background with DC...
