Yahoo's approach this time is mix. One, they can prevent people from rigging their auctions/sales - e.g. those one dollar bid's can no longer be accomplished. So it will be much more fair for other sellers and less disputes for Yahoo. On the other hand, it has lost the meaning of being an auction site; and legit and honest sellers who want to auction their items may move away from Yahoo. In my opinion, I think it's a great choice/move. At least Yahoo is has 'cleaned' away a lot of shit and dishonest sellers now and the place is much more fair.
