Pal, either 1006 or 1008, no need both IMO (i've got 1008 only).
1008 in fact tends to be ivory white, not bright white as you found from your 1006.
If you look for 1001/1004's matt white, forget 1008 as well. Hope this helps

It appears that the average paint job / finish quality of 1006 is better than 1008.
I've only bought 1008 (inspected 2 pieces) & also noted the color discrepancies as described by other c hings.  The 1st one I inspected had obvious color defects on both metal & plastic parts.
To the best of my memory, I haven't heard any complaint of 1006 back then...
