I know some but won't be as good as the ones you've mentioned:
Apparently the name "Zaku" is derived from Zako 雑魚, hinting their expendable grunt nature when compared to the Gundam.
MS-09F Dom Funf - Funf means 5 in German, so it literally means the fifth Dom
MS-09F/trop Dom Tropen - Tropen means "tropical" in German. In relation to WWII the German Bf-109 fighter used the term "trop" for the tropical variations (e.g. in desert warfare), for example Bf-109G-4/Trop.
MS-14Jg Gelgoog Jäger - Jäger means "hunter" in German.
As for MS IGLOO, QCX-76A Jormungand (the huge cannon on first episode) - the name is a variation of Jörmungandr, which is a sea serpent from Norse mythology. In Chinese it's called 耶夢加得

YMT-05 Hildolfr - this old Norse name derives from Hildólfr (war-wolf, hence in Chinese 戰狼/鬥狼), who is apparently a son of Odin. |
