This is good! "丫"得開 is good ar!!! If you watch the Do You Remember Love again, you will see how far it "丫"開.
This toy really follow the animation very closely!!! Amazing!
Anyway my 2 boxes of SDF-1 arrived yesterday too hehehe so excited last night and amost cannot sleep ar!!! HAHAHAHAHHA
really ! Can't wait for your report ! I am still hesitating about getting this toy or not ....
It's surely very nice on it's own, but I just can't display it next to my Macross collection, which yet not very completed, but they are all taller than this SDF-1 ~~~
sigh... I understand a lot people worry about the size... The largest SDF-1 I saw is the wooden 1/500... which is taller than my room's ceiling! Why would anyone care about the size of the SDF-1 when displaying it next to your other Macross collection, it's not the correct scale anyway, and even if u have a bigger 1:3000 version, it's still too small to have it stand next to your Yamato toys. So why a 1:5000 create any problem when displaying them! WHY?
If you are not happy about the amount of metal it used, or the price is a bit too expensive, is still understandable. But if you complaint about the size... that part I really don't getit... Just want to know, do most of you really have that much of space collecting large toy???
I trust most Macross Fans had a lot of 1/48 Yamato VF-1. Where can you spare any space for a much larger SDF-1. Consider the amount of detail they put into this SDF-1, that scale is perfect for display! and easy enough to play with too!

Haha, of course your explanation totally make sense, the "size" factor is totally in our head only, you see, I just figure out that if I buy this SDF-1, I will dig out some old "box-egg" VF and Tomahawk to display together :DD yet the proportion is totally wrong:DD:DD

Well I was thinking about the same thing as well... but....
I tried to put them together with my old broken SDF-1 (1:3000) well guess what... still looks wrong... and very wrong... I am thinking unless I have that wooden 1:500 SDF-1... it will never look right...
I think it's perfect to display the SDF-1 with these

Display with these are GREAT as well!
Guys try put it together with the new Gundam Box Egg "Cosmo Fleet" and see what you think again, I understand their scale is not right but put them together looks GREAT!
NOTE:
1:5000 White Base (Gundam) should be 46.8mm (4.68cm)
So the Cosmo Fleet box egg is very close to Macross scale!
I will try my very best to post some photos of my display... been far too busy with my son at the moment...
Has the new grey version armor been released yet? I saw someone is selling it in yahoo for $6HJ :no:
