由1998年第一張專輯Songs for Polar Bear開始至今，這隊半愛爾蘭半蘇格蘭樂隊，走過了漫漫長路才得到今日成就。他們從小眾口味的獨立樂隊，蛻變為技巧成熟、能夠駕馭千萬觀眾場面、全球銷售超過11萬張唱片的大型搖滾樂隊。出道至今寫下多首經典單曲，包括Run、Chocolate、Chasing Cars等。Snow Patrol獲多次提名Mercury Music Prize、格林美獎及MTV Europe Music Awards，於2005年以專輯Final Straw勇奪Ivor Novello Award獎項。
