Obviously would not be earlier than 17/5. Thanks Brother Panzer~~
hope we'll see the real stuff this weekend~ Just finished doing some simple weathering on a 1/48 Red Shoulder (Reeman Set), using enamel paint wash and a silver marker for the metal wear. Not a fantastic paint job by any means, but looks pretty good for a couple hours of work and the skill of a beginner. The enamel paint wash is very forgiving and easy to apply, and the weathering does make a big difference on these otherwise very plasticy-looking little guys. Fun stuff.

No la. Not a very good modeler myself, so just keep the painting to minimum. The paint wash stays on pretty well by itself. Enjoy to play more than to paint.:shy: And there are still quite a few 1/48 that needs to be painted. very nice work, brother~~
what is enamel paint? look and apply like normal model paint? where can I buy it?
(sorry, I'm really a beginner about painting models. ^______^) 原文章由 ikkithefool 於 15-5-2007 09:35 PM 發表

Enamel paint is just one of the common type of model paint. Tamiya (雙星) and Testor are some of the brands that makes them. Apply just like normal paint. What I did for the wash is rather than just use the paint straight from the bottle, use a little enamel paint thinner to make the paint very watery, 希啲. People use this form dipping in panel lines on Gundams and other robot models. So with this watery paint, just paint with a small brush (pick some mud color (flat, not glossy) you like, and maybe mix a couple drops of black to make it darker if you need to). Very easy. If the dirt doesn't look too good, just fix it with the brush or wipe it with paper towel or tissue, until it look nice. Then let it dry. Simple as that.
I am a beginner too, so I am sure you can do it. Any brothers interested in Yamato 1/24 Remote Control Scope Dog?Can have a race if all of us get this.:)

I want to see the price, and if the upper body ( waist, arms ) are moveable....
also, I will wait and see people's reports before buying, how fast it can go ? how long do the battery last etc .... all these infos are important for the fun :)
