There are 2 buildings: one with two floors and one with three but they are not detachable like the Pet Shop.
The building on the left has a brick-built 'Pool' sign and also has a sign of the detective's office as well as the pub/bar on the first floor. The first floor uses tan and brown pieces whilst the second floor uses loads of medium nougat 1x2 'Brick' profile bricks.
We have Al's Barber shop which is primary built using a variety of blue pieces. This building has been cut in half on the first floor to make space for the 6-stud wide alleyway. Above the alleyway we have two small walk out balcony's which indicates their are two apartments above the barber shop. The alleyway is done better that I had originally expected. I'm pretty sure that Jaime Berard is the designer for this set just the way it's been built.
Anyway, the set will be available in January as expected. Here is the press release: 10246 Detective’s Office Ages 16+. 2,262 pieces.
