May be put it in this way.
Originally in Flash Back 2012, VF-4 is "NOT" a transformable fighter, so, the outlook is a pure fighter style, no consideration for legs and arms.
Later, in the PS games, nobody will expect to pilot a non-transformable plane in a Macross environment, so it was given a so call transformable mode. Of course, the result is horrible as it was a retro-redesign of a non-transformable model.
Now, if Yamato issue a pure fighter plane, it will defeat the whole purpose as G-kit has already issued fighter mode and the market will not accept a pure fighter model at a high price.
The result: a transformable ugly batteroid with a good looking fighter mode. |
