I am not a very serious model player and I have just begun my N scale small world. So my model can't be compared to all of your professional layouts.
My idea in this city is based on PLUG and PLAY principle with TomyTec and Tomix gears, therefore no glue and hole is drilled on my tabletop.I simply used blue tag for all the assembling. It will be good for me to reasseble and plan the buildings and roads from time to time. But one thing I dont like about my city is that it is a city without any lightings. Hope all brothers won't laugh at my simple layout. The biggest Chanllenge for the layout is about how to look like real city. I understand some of the items are not be logical.
I tried to mix and match 4 themes into 1 layout.
1) City+traffic
2)Suburban + Farm (mini scale)
3) Tiny Temple
4) Traditional Japanese Festival
It is hard to put all the elements into one single small layout because the size is only
