What a great and informative article, CHING!!! I just recently fell for the statue, especially the SSC PF line, after I purchased the cobra commander (I'm a huge fan of GI Joe) a couple months ago. This is a grail glass to me. Too bad I didn't manage to buy the EX due to insane price on ebay.
And as expected, I couldn't stop and kept looking for other cool items on SSC site, and ebay. I just ordered Baroness (lucky i managed to get EX!) and Black Widow. It costs the same in my case as I live in US currently.
You are damn right about the collection of statues, as there are not that many people sharing the joy with you. It's somewhat better here as more people are interested in statue (tho it's nothing compared to other collectors), and I can totally feel for you in HK.
I was surprised when I receive the package of cobra commander as it's huge compared to my 1:6 figures. Luckily I didn't get rid of the box as per your article. This is totally an agony though as I am moving back to HK end of the year. Storage of all those boxes are totally pain in the ass as I can't just simply fold it. How can you manage to keep all those shit?
I am looking forward to reading your other posts! Please keep it up as your article is awesome!!! Hopefully I can read more of your articles, and even get to discuss more in person when I'm back to HK later on!!! |
