[B]The Loading Toys newly released SAS gear set was used in these CG's. There was no alternation to the parts except that I added a parachute made by Hot Toys.

The idea of these CG's is based on the epilogue mission named "Mile High Club" in the video game Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 1. A troop of SAS stormed into a domestic flight to rescue a VIP hostage. At the end of the mission, before the plane explodes, the team has jumped out of the plane with the rescued hostage.
[B]Mini Review: Loading Toys 22 SAS Regiment Gear Set[/B]
Disclaimer: I have to mention up front that I was involved in the early part of the production. (I supplied one of my SAS custom figure to Loading Toys as the product prototype and that was it all) In this mini review, I would like to look at the product from a 1/6 hobbyist perspective and will try to offer a neutral view.
[U]Packaging[/U]
Loading Toys has done a decent job with the packaging art work. The printing quality is fairly good. I like the use of the freight container image. Layout of the parts is neat. The only thing I do not understand is: why using such a large packaging while the kit doesn't come with a body?
[U]Comparison with the Prototype[/U]
The body I used is Hot Toys True Type as the hands and boots fit the HT pegs. (I also used the same body for the prototype) At a glance, LT has re-produced 80% of how the prototype looks like. At a closer look, you may notice the black jacket is slightly bigger. The sleeves are a bit too long. Also, the velcro tapes are a bit weak. The cuffs and a few pocket openings cannot be closed.
[U]A Closer Look[/U]
The helmet is nicely re-produced according to the prototype. And so is the gas mask. However, the gas mask convex lens of the prototype are a bit shinny. The LT ones are a bit dull. The vest details are nicely made.
The MP5K is probably the biggest let down of the whole gear set. A lot of the edges are "rounded". There are slight concave at the surfaces are supposed to be perfect flat. That shows LT has not really mastered the hard plastic molding technique yet. I have to agree with someone from the forum said the quality of this gun is like 21C's. Besides, I think the red paint of the aim sight looks awkward. This is simply not up to the bar of today's 1/6 quality.
The boots are hard molded. There is a ankle ball joint inside the boot for connecting to Hot Toys body. That means you need some modification if you are planning to use other types of body (or simple use another pair of boots). BTW, I think LT has made the boots a bit undersized.
[U]Summary[/U]
Overall speaking, I think Loading Toys has done an OK job here. If you are a big fan of Modern Warfare and you like how SAS looks like in the game set, this gear set is really handy to give you all the parts you need. But if you are a collector of high quality figure you may need to understand that LT may not match up with your expectation.
