Agree to your comments.
1. The scenes are almost copying of "Saving Private Ryan", but acceptable to die hard fans.
2. The first wave attack should be long range bombing to the beach instead of direct landing without firing support. Also, nearly all ATs were not carrying a gun (?)
3. It is been explained in the second half that the landing has been doomed failure and the landing was just a divertion.
4. Why all scopedogs were not using marshy equipment? The tactics used was almost useless against the enemy fire.
5. The nowadays 2-D animation is worse than 20 years before, maybe the people's skills are deteroiating? Or not enough budget for overall quality checking on the 2D animation. The face of Chirico has changed a bit and softer than before.
After all, I just to love to hear the sounds of the AT running and firing again. Luckily they still use the Jazz mood BGM which is best for this show and the tension created due to lack of conversation between the characters.
Also, this time the cast for entire show is male, which is rare in nowsdays shows ( even the male pilots in other shows are more female than the counterparts).
Having said that, I enjoy the new epsiodes.
